Oetiker Inc. is a world wide company, manufacturing clamps that are used in automotive industries as well as the medical field. In 1997 Oetiker Inc. completed the 57,500 square foot Technology Clamping Center located across the street from its original facility that started in 1982, is now the site for sales, adminstrative research and warehousing departments. Oetiker's has approximately 115 employees employed at the Marlette site. Oetiker's has over 1,320 patents issued in over 54 different countries. |

Marlette District Library |
The Marlette District Library is located in the center of the City. It was constructed in 1921 and a new addition added in 1991. It was the last funded Carneige Corporation Library in the Midwest and the next to last in the United States. The Library is open Monday 9-5, Tuesday 12-8, Wednesday 9-5, Thursday 12-8, Friday 9-5, and Saturday 9-2. The following are other services avaiable: Interlibrary Loan, Large Print Books, Photocopier, Typewriter and Computer for Public Use, Television and VCR for use in Library, Paperback Book Exchange, Meeting Room, Videos, Tax forms, Micro Film Machine, and Internet.
Everyone is welcome to attend the book discussion group meetings. The meetings are the first Tuesday of each month at 10 A.M. in the Library basement. The Marlette Township Airport is a class "C" airport with two paved runways. the first of the two is 3500 foot, and the second is a 3800 foot runway. It has pillot controlled lighting, approach lights at the end of each runway, fuel service, a terminal with telephone and restrooms. Small business jets and medium size cargo planes can land at the airport. A 38 member glider club, "The Vultures" have made the Marlette Airport their home. The Vultures can be seen soaring over Marlette and the immediate area on most weekends. |

Marlette Regional Hospital Marlette is very fortunate to have an up-to date medical environment. Marlette Regional Hospital is growing to meet the ever expanding needs or Marlette and surrounding communities. Marlette Regional Hospital has been growing with the community since the start of the hospital in 1951. Medical doctor offices, Chiropractors, Dentists, Marlette EMS, Hospice, and specialists at the hospital complete the list that can care for your entire family. The brand new Seton Cancer Center is composed is a 16,000 square foot facility that provides both chemotherapy and radiation therapy services to cancer patients in surrounding communities.
Marlette Regional Hospital Hospice Program, United Hospice, will be the first of its kinds in Michigan to offer a comprehensive range of hospice services under one organization. This 6-bed, 7,200 square foot facility will provide residents home-like care for patients suffering from a terminal illness. The private rooms are spacious and will enable direct access from the room to a park-like courtyard. "The residential environment" is designed to fulfill the medical, spiritual, and family support needs for those diagnosed with a terminal condition when the family resources aren't available to care for these individuals in their own homes.
Marlette Regional Hospital's physical therapy department enables the expansion of existing services as well as additional unique new capabilities. An inground therapy pool will be the first of its kind in the region. The construction of an adjacent enclosed atrium will create a stunning view for patients while they are in the department. |
