The Bea McDonald Elementary School provides for grades Kindergarten through the third grade. The school is located at 3197 Sterling Street, Marlette, Mi 48453.

The elementary school has a large playground which is equipped with up-to-date playground equipment, and is supervised during school playground hours. The Bea McDonald school was named after Beatrice McDonald at the school's opening in 1955.

The Marlette Middle School provides classes for grades Four through eight. It is located at 6230 Euclid Street, directly behind the Bea McDonald Elementary School. It was built in 1974 and opened for classes in 1975.

The Marlette High School provides classes for grades nine through twelve. It is located at 3051 Moore Street and was built in 1895. With an addition built in 1937. In 1940 a band and shop area were added to round out the high school curriculum.

The district covers a 150 square mile radius and serves approximately 1500 students. Preschool and head start programs are also available.
