2011 Summer tax bills will be mailed July 1, 2011 and are due August 31, 2011 (without penalty). A 3% Penalty and 1% per month interest is added after August 31, 2011.
Summer Taxes include: City Operating Tax, SET (State Education Tax), and County Operating Tax.
2010 Summer and Winter, can no longer be paid at the City of Marlette. 2010 Taxes are considered delinquent and must be paid at Sanilac County Treasurer’s office in Sandusky, Michigan. Please call 810-648-2127 for delinquent tax pay off amounts, as additional fees have been applied. Sanilac County’s website can be found at www.sanilaccounty.net with department and contact information listed. A subscription to delinquent tax look-up is also available at their website.
The exception is for personal property (business equipment) taxes. Personal property taxes are always paid to the City of Marlette, whether delinquent or not.
2011 Winter tax bills are mailed by December 1st each year, and are due without penalty by February 14th of each year.

Residents/businesses can look up tax information on line (See Link Below)
The City of Marlette has linked with B S & A Software so City of Marlette residents can have access to their tax records on-line at any time. This service is FREE for the homeowner to look up their personal parcel. This service can also be utilized by Mortgage Companies, Realtors, and CPA offices at a low rate of $2.00 per parcel. You can view several years of tax billing information along with Taxable Value, State Equalized Value, and Assessed Value. For any of the above entities that take advantage of this site, the $2.00 cost per parcel can be wrote off as a business expense or passed onto the customer. What is great about this on-line service is that you can access tax information at any time of the day and/or evening.
All you need to do is visit us on the City webpage at www.cityofmarlette.com and from there you can link to this service or you can visit the site directly at http://cityofmarlette.is.bsasoftware.com.
The first time you visit the site you will need to log on to the site by setting up a User Name and Password. You can then log on and look up your parcel. For the homeowner looking up a parcel, the site will send you an e-mail with a link and you can access your information and make copies if needed. Once you are linked through your e-mail, go to the County where you reside and type in your last name and it will bring up your information. All other inquires can log on and set up an account with B S & A to get the parcel information needed.
