Fire Authority

The purpose and intent of the Joint Fire Authority is to adopt rules and regulations for the conduct of personnel; to authorize the purchase and maintenance of equipment; to authorize to Joint Fire Board to employ personnel; to approve the appointment of Fire Chief and other department officers selected by the volunteers; to authorize the Joint Fire Board to prescribe the powers and duties of the fire department employees and volunteers; and to establish the procedure for financing the fire department and determining the share contributed by each municipality.
